Exam Soft Settlement
- Revolves around claims that ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. SofTest software was defective
- The case is entitled West, et al. v. ExamSoft Worldwide Inc. and is case number 1:14-cv-22950
- A fairness hearing will take place on October 9,2015 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida

The exact complaint from class members is in regards to the July 2014 Bar Exam in which some test takers encountered a program glitch that prevented them from uploading their answers. The ExamSoft class action settlement may offer cash payments to those who file timely claims.
Exam Soft Settlement Quick Notes
- Includes all people who used the SofTest Software to take the July 2014 Bar Exam
- The settlement amount has been capped at $2.1 million
- Qualified class members will receive up to $90 in cash in the form of a check
- If the settlement pool exceeds $2.1 million each eligible Class Member will receive a pro rata share based on the total number of approved claims submitted
- Proof of purchase is not required as a list is already available
- Class members will have 45 days to submit a claim form from 45 days after the date of entry of the Final Judgment
- Exam Soft has hired attorneys Jay P. Lefkowitz, Joseph Serino Jr.,and Kristin Sheffield-Whitehead (from KIRLAND & ELLIS LLP)
- People who took the bar exam in the states of New Jersey, Massachusetts, or the U.S. Virgin Islands are not allowed to file a claim for reasons unknown at this time
